Step into our colorful Art-History-Nature world and connect with who we are.Throughout generations Landhuis Bloemhof has become a vibrant meeting place for art lovers. The legacy of Shon May Henriquez, a pioneer in the Curacao art scene, is well preserved here. Visit her frozen in time sculpture studio, our inspiring library, the country house (1735) and our current contemporary art exhibition. Take a stroll through our natural park and discover the remnants of a time long gone by. On the premises you can also find the open air studio of Hortence Brouwn, a local sculptor. And the Cathedral of Thorns, a monumental artwork by Herman van Bergen. The Cathedral of Thorns is a full building-sized labyrinth that honors Mother Nature and the Free Spirit. Visitors are invited to walk through its corridors. The walls have niches containing objects of contemporary art by guest artists. The Cathedral of Thorns is made of approx. 30 million thorns from the thorny Acacia Tortuosa bushtree.
