If 65% of the island is a rainforest, why focus your attention on just one? This 5-6hr tour will have you feeling like a local by the time your done as it detours the overcrowded “El Yunque” tour buses and river accesses. It takes you in depth to one of the many rural rainforest areas Puerto Rico is locally known for as “campo”. This tour is for the less active traveler that still wants to get out, explore and experience the real communities and people. A 5-8 min hike, through a easy/medium trail will lead you to our hidden gem. After working up an appetite, the group will have lunch (at your expense) in family owned roadside shaq aka “chinchorro” called La Terraza. Your driver/guide will be providing live commentary, and instructions to keep safe all through out the tour. A bathroom stop at a local gas station is done on the way to the fall. Comfortable walking clothes and shoes, have your bathing suits on and bring towels and water shoes is recommended to maximize the day.
