Take a hike in the stunning Dandenong Ranges and explore Victoria’s famous Yarra Valley. We embark on an easy to moderate 6.6km hike in the Eastern Sherbrooke Forest through towering Mountain Ash trees and wetland ferns. Keep your eyes open for lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies, and echidnas that call the forest home. Next, we head to the Californian Redwood forest to marvel at these awe-inspiring giants; some trees stand up to 100m tall! This forest is one of the best-kept secrets of the Yarra Valley region.Next up, we pull into one of Yarra Valley’s favourite wineries, Innocent Bystander, for lunch. There’s plenty of time for wine tasting too if you choose. After lunch, we skip over the road to visit craft beer brewery Matilda Bay, before jumping back in the van to visit the lads at Payten & Jones for more good wine and great tunes. We top the day off with a visit to Four Pillars, a small craft distillery (that’s been named the world’s leading gin producer two years in a row).
