Jean-Louis has degrees in both fine art (BA Fine Art) and teaching (Dip Ed, Art) and 30 years of experience teaching art to all ages - so you can be confident that you’ll receive expert tuition. We never need to go very far and most sessions are on plein-air, reached by foot, in or around the village. Being an historical and beautiful village Jouques offers many aspects that are inspirational for any artist.We offer a choice of two workshops at ARTELIER PROVENCE, ‘A slice of Jouques’ or ‘Ochres of Provence’.Our workshops can be customised to individual and small group requirements.We also offer 4 day art retreats with accommodation, ‘Art in Provence’ or ‘Encaustic comes alive’, look for us online.Jouques is an easy 45 minute bus ride from Aix-en-Provence, or 30 minutes by car.
